This past Friday, March 12, the recently finished and brand new Function Center of Peduli Sesama Helen Flavel was dedicated in a Balinese Melaspas ceremony.  Located just a short walk from the Learning Center, along some beautiful rice fields, this extraordinary new complex will, as its name suggest, provide a base for a myriad of important functions as well as a new kitchen and dining, laundry, and recreation area for the students and boarders. 

This new and very beautiful complex was only made possible by the generosity of the Do Foundation in The Netherlands and the continued selfless support of the foundation sponsors, friends of PSHF, and others who not only provided the needed funds, but also gave their time working on this project.  Some forty Balinese men and women volunteered their time and expertise in the construction of this impressive complex. 

Well attended by many dignitaries and supporters of the HFF, the ceremony included the Balinese rite of purifying the facility, speeches, and most fun of all, some superb entertainment by students and children supported by the excellent work of the Helen Flavel Foundation.
