In March 2004, Peduli Sesama Helen Flavel (PSHF) was formed in Bali to focus on giving the children from the poorest families the opportunity to attend school.  We have been able to provide over 700 sponsorships to students since the HFF and PSHF first began. The sponsorships concentrate on children from the very poorest regions where parents toil and struggle just to put rice and vegetables on the table each day.

In general, we take a holistic view and we have discovered, usually after the first 12 months of helping a child, there is a need to help the entire family with housing, bedding, furniture, medical support and other basic needs. We have also built or renovated 738 modest homes since 2004. Ultimately, we believe that education is a gift that will last the children a lifetime and provide a solid foundation to help them throughout their lives.
